    Any of you do it?

Im thinking of growing a few things and looked for easiest veg/fruit to grow. Results where stuff like tomatoes, lettuce, peas.

I want tomatoes (u have to really), some sort of salad leaf (lettuce??), Chillis or peppers and no sure what else maybe potatoes.

Yes, all the above are relatively easy to grow, although with peas it costs more to grow a decent crop than buying frozen (but the taste of freshly picked peas makes it worth it).
It's a bit late to be planting most crops though. You should still be able to get a crop of fast growing veg (lettuce, radish etc) if you plant them soon.
For tomatoes, potatoes, chilli etc you would have to plant in pots (or 1/2 barrels for potatoes) and bring them inside when the weather cools down, or they'll die off before you get a crop.

We grew tomatoes last year out of season inside the flat, they got very thirsty and needed watering twice a day just before we ate them!

what else is there thats relatively easy to grow?

I have done a little research so know about the potatoes, may even buy one of those special planting barrels. Have a pea pod plant in the back with a few pods on it already (when are they ready to pick?)

you can get packs of mixed salad leaf seeds, all grow well and you get a nice salad variety, not just lettuce. Rocket, and spinach grow well for me, as does parsley. I've got tomatoes on the go too, and peppers are doing well, but still inside. Some of my courgettes are doing ok, but others not. think it depends on their location, the ones that have been hit by wind aren't doing well.
Use MP12808 when placing an order please. ta. :-)

lettuce is supposed to be a good choice to grow.

my mate up in yorkshire started growing his own stuff a few years ago, started with tomato plants and he's now got like a grocery store in his back garden. he's even built his own greenhouse from scratch!!!

yeah lettuce is pretty good to grow, tastes better than supermarket versions and they are like mutants! they grow back so quick!
