I'm being relocated to Harlow in September, so was wondering if anyone lives around that way so they can tell me what it's like.

I'm looking at moving to Cheshunt possibly, anyone from around there? Monster Gym looks amazing!

I live near Harlow, never live IN Harlow

I train at the Harlow sports centre, have a dedicated heavy weights room with several benches, racks and loads of free weights plus they are building a brand new sports centre which will have all new weights and swimming pool etc

IMO good place, better than the usual poser gyms.

Hi, Monster Gym is amazing, the web site is out of date, there are lots more new machines now, a sauna is being built, and new toilets/showers. Well worth a visit, as for Cheshunt -I have lived there for nearly 40 years- what do you want to know ?

I'm going to make a trip up there in a few weeks, so just wondering what sort of a place it is, e.g. a nice town or overrun by chavs?! No real specific questions, but I'd appreciate any information you think is relevant as you never know what a place is like from visiting once or twice.

I like Cheshunt, Its easy to get to London on the train (about 18 mins to Liverpool st). Lots of places to Walk, run or bike down the lea valley if thats your thing, a few pubs, monster Gym ( the best) No cinema in easy walking distance.Swimming pool in Grundy park , martial arts , and all sort of fitness classes there too. As for chavs - well every town has em , it can get a bit 'lively' at the weekend round the Old Pond area but nothing really,
Happy to answer any further questions - Jim.

I'll resurrect this one- I've come home from uni after being in Sheffield for three years and live in Broxbourne now. I'm a member at the aforementioned Grundy Park. Been going to the circuits class there and thoroughly enjoy it!
