i always get told off by my lovely LH for spamming about cars *dribbles* so i made a thread!
to talk about cars, post pics, ask opinions, try and ask for help if something might be wrong etc.

i will start it off with pics of my baby

when i got her, she was on coilovers, dropped bloody 100mm, was on its haha

but it was a pisstake, so i raised her to about 50-60mm, but now she was stiffer then....a horny boy, so i went back to standard springs/shocks (i got for £20 woop woop)

this is how she is sitting

i wanted a clio sport 172, but insurance is too high in my area! so i got this, still very very quick!

i only paid £1400 for it, done only 73k now (it had 69k when i got it in jan)

things i wanna do, get rid of them awful headlights (came on the car, and i can't afford to replace atm), change the exhaust (to something quieter/more discreet)
and the wheels have been painted Anthracite colour, but was a she-ite job (previous owner) lacquers peeling etc, so getting them done same colour soon (only £140 for strip, sandblast, refurb and powdercoating woop woop)

what babies have you lot got?

MOT up end of OCT, won't make it through as is (susp bushings, tyres, brakes) and i want something else. (the celica is now dirty beast, crude as you like)
Currently trying to convince my dad to let me keep a motorbike here but....

Won't let me post pictures until I have 15 posts

Anyway its a black gold 54 plate 182 I have had it 2 months and its done 46k now. Just had a service last weekend and new aux and cam belt.

My insurance is fully comp £2050 because I'm only 19.
And I would like to add I pay for it all myself (Not my parents!)

I like that seat its an ace colour

Haven't really changed much on mine yet. It has the cup packs so coilovers are £700+ for decent ones. I have put carbon fibre dashboard strips inside and a aluminium footrest that's about it.

    New exhaust next. (£400 )

Mate i give the car the worst sort of abuse possible.

6am in the morning, start her up (first time every time) straight out the drive....accelerate hard all the way...2 miles to work, engine off before it's even warmed up and then the same again back home at 2 o'clock.

It's done that for the past 3 years without a hickup, (i do give her an italian tune up on the motorway at 112 (i'm not saying MPH or KPH!) on the jap speed limiter from time to time tho)

I was riding my friends yamaha XVS125 dragstar bike and i'm addicted!
I want a XVS1100 cruiser.....not into crotch rockets (well i would be but i know that i would actually die on one)

yeah mate, that's class! love them, one the best handling hothatches PERIOD!

i paid £1500 (myself too) for a crappy 1.2 corsa when i was 18 lol, so you've done WELL!

i am only paying £790 for it, its insurance group 14, no NCB (always have to be named driver for cheaper insurance) but now i'm by myself woop woop!

i have paid for every car i have owned + insurance, and always will!
some my mates have Astra GSi's (mk4), 200sx's, but their parents have paid

it is such a sleeper, i have upset ALOT of people in cars worth stupid amounts, and when the coilovers were on it....i could do them on corners too (was sooo stiff, i out did an focus st on a sharp right, he slammed brakes, i carried on without braking muahahaha)
ps i never speed i just accelerate hard to speed limit

how much was the car? the 182's hold value alot, the 172's don't as much!

    Well....
I did have a bit of mayonaisse under the filler cap and fuel economy drop but guess what, after a few weeks it 'fixed itself' and returned to it's normal self!

that was probably due to your short journeys, as there is always condensation present in oil, so longer journeys it goes, but shorter it doesn't, my mate got his car from his mom, she only went shops and back, it had mayo, i told him to take it for a blast on the motorway a few times...sorted

    good tip there!

    haha toyota's are good though!

never had it tested, but comes with 150bhp standard, but alot of the SCN boys have got standard ones producing in excess of 160bhp as standard
(mine is the 16v, but the 8v was written down as 115bhp, but some people have got 130bhp standard)
its mental! especially being a 12year old car, and still giving very good readings!
i think mine would be 160ish, as my mates is running 150, and mine is quicker (well he even said it)

but these have quite good torque (top end) after 3500rpm my car roars like a beast!

does your have an upper power range aswell?
