was at the gym today and this guy just kept looking at me when I was squatting with my brother, I know he worried about my form because theres nothing wrong with it, but this guy he was looking at me as if to say im the man check this out, he started doing 10's on the squat rack. Then i go to myself is this guy serouis, he is looking at me with an ego of a 250lb bodybuilder but zero physique, so i just continued on with my heavy squats, and let him continue staring, at the end of the day I know what Im doing I dont want to rack on 160kg squat to boost my ego. I may further add he was doing practically every exercise you could find in a muscle and fitness brochure with poor form and light weight.

anyone else get these people, if so how do you deal with them?

Yea my gym times are usually down to a fine art, so i can avoid idiotic fools like the one I just described, I wasnt going to stoop to his level of showing ego and all this crap, at the end of the day Im smarter than him, he can sit and star all he wants but his physique told me everything i needed to know, so i finished my session with a squat PB and just about 45 mins for a session. Then you get the obvouis roid monkeys who have the biggest egos and use ALOT of momentum for 25kg barbell curls, ohh and i add they ALWAYS wear tracksuit trousers, hmmmmm i wonder why? lol

Commanight your Gym sounds like the last stop on the way to hell lol This is exactly why I train at home. I used to go to the gym but they had no free weights and too many prats.

Khris - Careful you may have a stalker! I'm suprised he didn't try and make you listen to what ever crap advice he's filled his head with. What are 10's by the way?

Fortunately not as I go first thing in the morning and there are no kids in there, people who go first thing generally want to do their stuff and get out and not piss about with bicep 21's with a 15kg barbell in the rack.

had to share the squat rack this morning though that was annoying, especially as I wanted to keep set rest periods and he was taking his time. He's a nice chap so I couldnt bring myself to comment on his half squat.

yeah i seen these 2 lads doing that, i asked them to help put 1 my DB's up (flat bench heavy) last week, they were doing 100kg on squat, looked too much for them! and they went down about an inch or 2, but didn't wanna say something, as it isn't my business!

I guess at least you can say they are squatting unlike most people in the gym.....they'll learn one day, i know I used to half squat....although that was the trainer teaching me to only go to 90 degrees at the knees.

too much poor form in the gym in general
