I stole the idea from another forum but expanded on the idea. The idea itself is simple, use this thread to rate the last movie you saw, game you played, CD you listened to, book you read and the list goes on. What you rate is really up to you but at least it'll stop us going off topic with questions like 'oh you saw X, how was it?' or 'Oh yeah I want that CD, is it worth the hype?' Use any rating system you like be it out of 10, percentages or thumbs up.

    I'll start you off.

Testosterone fuelled violence, great. Little in the way of story but then I never expected one.

snowpatrol - up to now (greatest hits) 6.5/10
bought this for the girlfriend and she has it in the car so its been on a bit. as the title says it is full of all there greatest hits so if you like them you will like this, they have made it 2cds which i think is uneccessary and its full of "filler" which i just tend to skip through. although there is a rather amusing cover of beyonces crazy in love on it.

public enemy's...2 hours of my life wasted that i'll never get back, totaly cements the idea that C Bale is a one trick pony, and even depp's character was boring.

    2012. Rubbish.

The highlight for me, and only because it made me laugh, was when most of the world had been destroyed by earthquakes and tsunamis, but just when a tsunami is about to consume New Delhi, one of the scientists is still able to make a call to his buddy in China. For me, that was the film's Indepedence Day moment.

    Protest The Hero - Live - 9/10

This band are incredibly talented and they prove it by their live performance.

Guitarists are tight, the bass player does some groovy 8 finger slap/tapping techniques and the vocal range is unbelievable from low grunts to Maiden wailing.(but better!)

Worth checking out if you're into Metal

Dungeon - A Rise to Power (CD) 9/10
Excellent power metal with some great stand-out songs. I can rarely listen to an album twice in a short period of time but I will make an exception with this one.

That the lead actor was a woman fighting a bunch of men was uncomfortable viewing as it was but that she was autistic made things worse. But then it was important to the story and they never exploited either so it's fine I guess. In fact they promoted equality at the very beginning.
All in all a good action packed movie. I was right with my first assessment: 'It's basically Ong Bak with a woman.'

    Body of Lies

    -----------

Brilliant film about the spy game. Very different to what I expected. Has token man falls for woman piece but all in all I thought it was absolutely brilliant

Review: Complete pants.. I was so lost through the whole story plot..
from the stars of such great films as The Business, Football Factory & Layer Cake, I was expecting a great film that would be watched over and over..
No chance. Maybe watch once more to see if I get the story this time, but I think it was a weak film that didn't live up to it's own hype.
