Do you know what, you're right it is Crib Goch! Coch and Goch mean the same thing (red), but by using the g instead of c is just like saying "the red ridge" rather than just "red ridge"
You should definately do it though, on a windy day it feels exhillirating when you're crouching along with a massive drop to the side and a "not-as-bad-but-still-quite-scary" drop on the other side.
If you fancy a lot of fun I can't recommend Tryfan and the Glyders enough. I've never gone up Tryfan the same route twice, and you've got to get the classic photo of standing on the Cannon!

Only Wainwright I've done is Red Pike a few years back, didn't reach the summit though, hill fog made sure we got properly lost lol. Love that part of England, very picturesque.
1 a month? Pfft, get your navigating skills up and attack them in winter, much more fun and rewarding, just don't forget a thermos full of soup and plenty of fresh socks!
