    does anyone know where i can get some cheap stuff to make a home gym secondhand would do me been adviced to get a power rack is anyone selling one in scotland would appreciate any help cheers and advice on what else to buy ive got a bench barbell dumbbells and about 300 kg of plates mate works in steelworks but need something for safety

    I built my own out of short lengths of scaffolding.

    If your mate works in steel works i'm sure you can put something together out of box section, BOLT it tho, don't weld it unless you are good.

    If i had box section steel, hacksaw, a drill and some bolts i could cobble one together in about 3 hours i reckon, so could you.

    thx mate but he can only get plates tried local blacksmith but he was turning out to be dearer can u think of anything else i need

    Power racks can be cheaply made by metal workers and the design is fairly straight forward, that's how mine was born and it's strong, can be dis-assembled and is exactly the right size.
    As for the other equipment you could try your local newspaper, ours often has cheap equipment from people 'giving up' and they might even deliver for you.

    Yeah I am selling alot of kit..

    oly bar, full set of bands, squat rack and 215kg of Oly plates (I will chuck in a set of standand dumbbells and bar with 50kg worth of weight aswell if the price is right)

    I live in amble. about 40 miles from the border, below berwick. offers in the region of 350 but Im happy to make a deal of sorts if the offer is right
