There are some in my gym that go for a smoke half way through a workout! Argh!

People who insist on using the only available weights benches to have a 5 minute sit-down when they don't even need the bench for the exercise they're doing. Really irritates me.

Woaw can't believe this hasn't been mentioned.... when guys use squat racks to do bicep curls, a guy in my gym also puts a bench in the squat rack to do bench press when there is loads of free benches for bench press!! I dont get it.

Guys who growl about like they own the place!

People who line up loads of dumbells to do massive supersets then dont put away after!

This guy also does bicep curls in the same position every week purely because of the lighting!

Just thinking about, I might invest in a home gym.....

Idiots who won't share equipment. This happened to me a previous gym a couple of months ago. There was only 2 benches in this place, the other was in use by two other guys for a proper exercise i.e shoulder press. So the other bench in use by a weedy, sleeveless idiot sits there and does about 15 reps on each arm with concentration curls after I'd asked him if I could get a set in.

Some other idiot at my new gym did the same thing to me with benching, even though I was going to do the same exercise. He did about 20 reps with 25kg, then left the sweat puddle on the bench.

99% of people in the gym are fine.

Although it doesn't really conform to this thread it is still slightly relevant. Around here a chav, a leader of a gang no less, bought a bench and obviously put it in his front garden. Then, when they wanted to train, he and about 7 of his friends would gather around the bench taking turns churning out upwards of 3 reps of the almost 10KG that was on the bar. Then they'd sit up, rub their arms and congratulate each other. Funnily enough even this strenuous routine became too much for them because they packed it in less than two weeks later.
I posted this because although I haven't seen it happen at a gym I do know that it does and probably happens at some of yours.

Holy crap I have seen this too, but in the back garden instead. I used to visit my ex's place most weekends and during the summer all I could hear was grunting, some chavtastic "GO ON MATE!" "YES BRUV ONE MORE" as they did exactly that, though I think that lasted about a month before they packed it in. It was both funny and cringe-worthy to listen too.

Another one from yesterday. Parents who cant keep their kids under control in an environment thats dangerous for their kids. I went to the gym yesterday a bit later than usual and there was some kids get fit thing going on. I was surprised they let kids that young in the gym but whatever. Im guessing they were supposed to stay on the rowing machines and all that stuff but they were all over the shop! Some even ventured into the free weights bit. Parents were doing nout to stop this. They were just sitting on a bench! Idiots.
