I hate my phone, but I'm too tight to buy a different one until it dies of natural causes. It's been through the washing machine once, dropped countless times even and after about 4 yrs the battery is still brilliant. *sigh*
My mates often have a go about how much I've spent on my home gym, but they have fancy phones and crap like that. I'm happy with my old nokia without a camera too.

Next time something like this happens put it in a tupperware box filled with uncooked rice. Sucks out all the moisture or something like that. It has worked for me in the past. Take the battery and case off as well.
