office politics galore these few weeks. many people off sick, some genuine and some 'genuine'. one of hte girls has been off more than she has been in, clocking up double figures in the number of episodes shes been off. i have no idea how she is still employed. surely she would be a danger to patients and herself being that ill. guess sucking ass works then. one of hte seniors asked me whether 'sickie's patient has turned up as they were booked in to see her the other day and if anyone else saw them to inform her of the outcome of the visit.

me being me and getting pretty miffed at her lack of attendance spat out: she can come in and cehck the notes herself if shes interested in her patient

this is how pants my boss is in managing her department:

cos of a small number of people spending ages with patients (i'm talking taking at least twice the standard 30 minutes for a follow up patient) and legging it to make a cuppa or hide in the staff room as soon as the clinic gets busy, we have a rota system that shows who is next and that theres no 'stalling'. she could've just told them that they suck and need to pull their socks up or get sacked. but nope.

every morning the department has to clean the testing equipement that are in patient contact and any misc tasks that have been left over from teh day before. usually either hte boss or one of the 4 (yes, 4!!!!!) deputies shares the tasks out equally. but certain deputies try to allocate the mammoth tasks to some peope mor than others whilst they get a easy morning. i'm usually hte one that gets the mammoth task and i know that if i report it to the boss, then i'll still get bollocked cos i aint a suck up like her deputies.

the new system the boss has implemented is a lucky dip every morning. we each pull a card out the bag and on each card has a task to do. rather than telling the culprits to do it properly, we all now have to do stupid systems cos of lazy ass waste of spacers!

whinge senior often bursts into tears and attention seeking at lunch cos her other half is heading out to afghanistan for his tour in a few months. its part of the deal dating a serviceman. much respect to the guy though as i wouldn't be able to do what he does on a daily basis.

    time for junk food warefare!

a few months ago one of hte girls got engaged and shes planning on a july 2013 wedding. she was also planning on an 18 month diet and training to get into her ideal shape for her wedding. this was proposed by her at the beginning of january this year.

over the past 6 weeks, she has done sod all, ate crap, whinged and moaned about it. i wrote up a simple program that she could do at home since she hates going to the gym. guess what...she dismissed my program and continued with the gym with her 30 mins cardio then 15 mins weights afterwards.

so for poo pooing my work, i'm gonna bring in cakes and biscuits for her and ther rest of hte dept to get obese!

    overheard some managers discussing plans.

m- does 182 interviews in a set period, k-159, s-162, and c does 48, but they were worried about moving her diary about to fit more customers in because she is likely to complain to the union.

i think unions are very important, as they benefit everyone, but to be frightened to ask someone to do the job they are paid for, when they are only doing a quarter of the work everyone else is..... grow a set and take that chance with the union. i only mention it because she is such a melingering old bat. pull your weight, it's only fair. but she is such a rude person, who talks like bubbles from little britain, and is frankly a bully.

Bless. it's a nice christian, easter tale.

found the mormon book, on my desk on tuesday, left from an 'event' my office held the day before. in which i found a reciept for a tithing, and it had someones name on. thursday afternoon, i heard the name from the reciept called by one of the advisors. young girl goes over, has her interview, and when she has finished, i call her over.
' found this book on my desk, have you lost it?'
'no, i gave it to someone as a gift, but i guess they weren't interested.'
    'oh, thats a shame.'
'well, would perhaps i could make it a gift to you?'
'That very nice, but i prefer my books with wizards and dragons in.'
'oh, sounds fun, but i don't believe in wizards and dragons.'

the book of mormon was written by a dude in america in the 1820's. he claims that an angel showed him how to translate the egyptian heiroglyphs that were inscribed on golden plates, that were written by indigenous americans hundreds of years ago, and buried. the angel who showed him how to translate them, also took the plates away when he was finished, on the basis that you wouldn't need to provide proof of such amazing claims. and from this gospel, the fastest growing church in christianity starts. don't forget, as we enter this holy easter time, that the story of christ is one of a jewish zombie, who's dad is god, he can walk on water, cure any illness, speak all languages, and turn water into wine, he even knows when he will die and who will betray him, but didn't think to say when the soldiers came for him 'jesus? nah mate, left this morning, won't be seeing him around these parts for a while, after all, aren't you guys going to crucify him?'

But she won't read anything else, because she cant suspend her disbelief, not when the gospel of mormon is so full of facts. i did the right thing, i just went quiet smiled, and wished a happy easter. i hope the magical jesus bunny lays you lots of chocolate eggs.

i don't begrudge anyone their religious beliefs, but the irony of her last statement made me bite my tongue.

    god bless, and happy easter.

At least you're in control of your tongue. When people try to shove their beliefs on me I will poo poo them. When I started at my current job a few years back, my boss couldn't explain why some people are long sighted and others shirt sighted. Yeah its to do with eye ball length, but there's no explanation why it happens. She put it down to- its how God made us. Back then I was still the newbie so was still scouting what and which buttons not to push.
