I post on quite a big football forum too and quite a lot of football 'hoolies' post on them too, from the coments I saw last night, it wouldn't suprise me to see the different 'firms' in london getting together to retaliate much like the turks started to defend there areas last night. Especially seeing as football games are getting called off. Plus, there's usually a big element of the EDL inamongst the hoolies too, I can see this getting much worse before it gets better!
    a big football forum? F365?

I've just heard Theresa May...spineless, cowardly, pathetic individual. NOT using water canons or bringing in the army because we police by consent? You are kidding me...how many of the members of these communities consented to these riots in the first place. I'm incensed. It's outrageous. Firstly, if these wanna be hardcore gangsta things wanna show how hardcore they are then get them out to Afghan to fight like real men and women. But of course they'd cower in the corner and wimper before they put themselves up for something really hard. Secondly, I would say that they should be given a verbal contract that if they are prepared to turn up on the streets this evening they are entering in to a contract where they are accepting full responsibility for the repercussions of their actions and accept the associated risks because force will be used. Thirdly, they should all be made to pay financially for the damage they have caused...even if it means a lifetime mortgage...if you're going to burn a building down you pay for it. I do NOT accept that this is society pushed to the edge...we are ALL in this together...all of us are in the same boat and we're all suffering the same problems but we do NOT throw all sense of humanity and morality out of the window and run riot. There is NO excuse for it, and there is NO excuse for soft policing of this. If you wanna play with the big boys then you take big risks. It's choice...and these dreadful little rats are going on national television saying "you wonder why the yuf go mad, it's cos you disrespecting is innit, and if you disrespect us then we is gonna disrespect you." Oh, I'm sorry...GO OUT AND EARN THE RESPECT YOU POINTLESS LITTLE RAT! I'm so angry!

You talking about the delightful young lady that was just on the BBC News?

Absolute scum of the earth. Her 5 kids will end up just like her and the cycle continues.

@MV Yes, Theresa May hasn't done herself, the coalition, the liberal elite or the ethnic minorities any favours at all with that showing. Methinks her card has been marked and that she will be quietly dropped when sufficient time has elapsed.

I won't be shedding any tears.

Or are you classing the controllers as the 'small part of the population'? In which case, we are in agreement!
I really have to disagree. not sure if you have ever lived in a different country and having lived in mexico and now brasil, i can truely appreciate how lucky we are to live in the uk. m we all complain about taxes but at least taxes go towards roads, nhs etc (well some of the taxes)
other countires pay taxes and the mony goes straight to the pockets of the politicians. in brasil they are some of the wealthest people.
also, agree with it or not, we (UK) actually try to support the poor instead of forcing them to live on the streets. i for one will definitely settle in the UK and never take if for granted again.
i know i am comparing the uk to emerging nations but would you rather live in the US?

As much as I abhor violence, there are circumstances when such measures are the only recourse for people who have been marginalised, disempowered, ignored and pushed to the edge. I just wish it was directed at the people who deserve some payback instead of the general public and businesses who are, themselves, victims of the engineered financial collapse.

I'm also suspicious that much of the violence may have been stoked/instigated by agent provocateurs for the purpose of providing a legitimate excuse for the introduction of even more draconian forms of restriction of civil liberties. If so, then those frustrated people who have taken advantage of the chaos to loot and have a pop at the police (unfortunately the 'public face' of those who seek to deprive us of our civil liberties) have played right into their hands!
I don't believe the type of people involved have been "pushed" at all, they just need any old excuse to cause havoc... it seems to be all the gangs of feral idiots, the type of people that normally cause problems anyway. I don't think any "decent" law abiding people are involved at all.

... in fact, I think the only safe haven is in the Job Centres - you won't catch them going anywhere near that. In fact, mobile job centres - on some sort of wheel system being driven down the streets towards the offenders will do a great deal more than the police!

It is just so irritating, I would really enjoy running through the town centre pretending to be part of the "gang" and occasionally pull one or two of them down an alley to batter them senseless and steal back the stuff they took from shops...

... the sad thing, I would be the one that gets arrested for stealing off them and causing ABH on them. I think when an individual personally chooses to damage property or someone, then they should be open to pure brutality. If the parents don't want to lose their 16 year old kid to my knuckles, then they should prevent them from hurting others.
