    The Fat Fighters - 4oD - Channel 4

Not very informative but has a few laughs. Favourite one so far is the bodybuilding personal trainer shown doing dumbell curls while leg pressing!

Laughable (with disbelief) and painful to watch at the same time, mostly the latter.

Absolutely no bearing on professional real-world personal training at all from my experience.

The show was like a bizzare fantasy world being run by a tacky euro-pop band (a bit like Steps), but thicker and on steroids.

I felt like my soul had been raped after watching this, and i needed to disinfect my eyeballs.

    haha, so true.

I find it a bit dodgy that the guy with dwarfism hired a personal trainer to sort out his spine when he should really be using a physio or whatever the correct practitioner should be.

This combined with QVC selling that vibrating platform, followed by ideal world selling some thing which you kneel on and rotate so it works your abs was hilarious. £300 odd quid for these machines whch vibrate and you can workout "without doing a thing, just stand there". I then watched the biggest loser, they made these 32st ppl run 5km, asking for injury personally. No one cared about form, and they all come with the caveat "as part of a carefully controlled diet"

The problem is getting ppl to eat correct is actually boring, watching them collapse is far more fun on TV

I watched it, normally watch these shows with the missus, but she wasn't too impressed with the ****o workout halfway through.

Definitely personal training for the TV rather than the real world. Not quite sure what the shows purpose or theme was? It should have been called "Freaky Training"

Biggest loser is always Ace in my eyes, love watching the fatties complaining at the start then becoming hardcore towards the end! Shame there isn't a biggest loser behind the scenes explaining the science behind the diet/fitness regimes. I know they're always wearing heart-rate monitors and would be interested on the fitness trainers concepts to get results.

anthing fat loss related on the telly usually has me boiling inside, frustration from not being able to shout "NO YOU TOSSER!" (at the diet advice usually) or "JUST GET ON WITH IT FAT BOY" (when they complain they cant walk a few miles without dying)

They were using myprotein supps tonight. Can't believe they are involved with this joke of a tv show.
