    Dips would work on 5/3/1 just remember to factor in your BW when doing the percentages.

    I would love to have a decent bench.....im just not motivated enough to train it.

    As I said there is nothing bad about dips, but bench can give you all that plus bragging rights, if you build it high enough. Keep dipping if that makes you happy.

    This is another of my favs MJ.

    I'm not giving up on bench until I own 140kg! That warrants 'strong' in my eyes anyway. It also seems to build an awesome looking upper body.
