i hate benching! i get bored, benches are always busy except the decline bench and my benching numbers are pants.

only doing it cos 531 requires it and it gives me a horizontal pressing move which kinda transfers over to sport.

much rather do weighted dips. more manlier and fun.

    rant over.

I havent barbell benched in a year now - swapped it for dips/push up variatons, because they're badass.

Im about to start training for full ring dips as well. Still not got the balls to try and dip yet!
"Squatting on a Bosu ball makes it so much more challenging!" So does getting tapped in the balls while squatting, want me to do that too?

Tell me about it! No matter how much weight you can bar dip - rings will humble you instantly.

I looked like bambi on ice using them for the first time last week haha

I've been frustrated with bench in the past, and still do occasionally when it stalls. The fact is though, big bench=badass. That's what keeps me motivated for it! I say this because although dips are a great exercise, people ask how much you bench, not how much you can dip.

i would love to have mean benching numbers. if i can get to use the benches. when i do, its one of them days where the gym is still packed and goons still walk very close to the bar path and usually end up knocking it.

Still it'd look damn cool to 1 rep max a dip with the same weight most gym rats are benching haha.

I've never felt flat barbell bench in my pecs, but dips give me a pump like nothing else.

When im feeling strong, I love to do higher rep Gironda dips - if you've not tried them, take a look. My favourite pec exercise full stop. (albeit slightly dangerous)
