Cheers! That should be useful bro!

However, going to a PT is more likely to remove the "me being an idiot" factor

defrancos agile 8 DeFranco's Training ..:: The Ultimate Way To Become A Better Athlete ::.. what your thinking of elvis? or the essential 8?

The best stretch for the squat is the squat. so squat often. 3rd world squats (bodweight atg basically) and goblet squats are good for stretching out the squat movement. sit in the bottom position with as straight a back as you can manage for a few seconds then stand up and repeat.

It could also be your ankle mobility thats hampering your depth. A quick google found me these, look at the 2a and 2b videos here The Essential Eight - Eight Mobility Drills Everyone Should Do.

And have a go at leg swings too. Front to Back Leg Swing - Athlete365.com - YouTube try and get your foot up a bit higher each time whilst keeping your torso vertical and back straight.

but you cant remove the "PT being an idiot factor" and you may not know anything better. The book is good, it is the best, honestly it is worth buying the book over one PT session or see if the library has it/will get it. Also if the PT knows of the book and the teaching methods then thats a good question for assesment.

I'd forget a PT and look for a friendly powerlifter who is willing to help you, even if it is in exchange for money.

You at least want to know they can put some iron where their mouth is, so to speak!
