im glad someone has pointed this out!

I've noticed it too and it does get a little annoying when you're subscribed to threads and get constant emails which arent necessarily helpful or related to the topic

    Say whaaa?!

Your both very new (hell, so am I) so this is a bit of a silly post.

One of you has 4 posts and the other 20 - why dont you get more involved in topics and helping people out and you might feel differently...I've been to various forums and MP's the only place with consistently good topics, advice, and there is no 'trolling' of any sort. Its great here and even if there are a couple of silly posts or whatnot, its in good nature and they're usually pretty funny!

If you feel that way, cool, but you coud just unsubscribe to an 'annoying' thread if it bothers you mate

Done I'm mostly here to read up and get as much info as i need.

I totally agree with what you say btw zeigler. I think its just one member who tends to constantly reply just for the sake of it. Nothing negative on MP as a whole whatsoever! And the funny banter is a good read too!

i totally agree, the information that i have gained from here is invaluable, but i just had to mention the wasting pointless posting bit.Sorry if i annoyed you but it just gets a little annoying when nearly every post is replied to by the same person with nothing to really say.

    Is it me?

I seem to be a thread assassin - every time I post on a thread, no-one else posts afterwards.

    It makes me sad.

Yes, the mods are aware of this. However ....

There is a fine line between over and under-modding and whatever happens we always end up getting complaints. These complaints are not confined to just this forum incidentally, we end up getting slagged off on competitors ones as well (which hacks us off).

Moreover, we also like a bit of banter - apart from being a laugh in themselves they help to de-fuse the more, er, intense threads.

Now that we are assured that some of the members at least are getting a bit tired of pointless threads and posts I think the mods will start being a bit more pro-active in deleting the more obvious bits of cyber-crud around.

    Hope this helps.

i just like to be as involved as possible, i may post but its to keep an eye on the thread. i post alot of threads in the off topic and go crazy with them but its just to be friendly and be a bit fun. nothing worse than an boring forum. its those nonsense posts that liven the place up. other wise we all sound like the guys on question time. i take some threads very seriously when it calls for it. but we are here for entertainment as well as info. so get off your high horse lol.

ease up on the excessive posting. yes, members can unsubscribe from the post but if you're gonna fill threads that someone is interested in keeping track of with random posts, then people will get miffed.

also quite a few members have been on the forum for a long time and it's a pain to sift through all the past threads to unsubscribe.
