I might just be worrying over nothing- I have had these before when I have been stressed and they usually go away without medication, but what do you think could be causing them?

It is difficult to describe, but periodically (perhaps every 5 mins or so) it feels like my heart is "filling up" or tensing up a bit for longer than a beat, so it feels lumpy for a second or two. I haven't changed anything in my diet or exercise regime that should have caused it. All I can think of is that I have been, over the past two days, eating ground cinnamon that is "best before" mid 2005, but surely that wouldn't cause this?!?!

Drop the cinnamon and see what happens. Have u been stressed recently? I rarely get them, maybe once every month or something, they are very random.

Are you consuming any caffeiene, guarana, taurine etc etc?? I got this the other week when I did 1xsida+1xcaff then an hour later forgot I took em so took some more....thought my heart was gunna explode

Just stop consuming anything other than food for a while, if it still happens, so see a doctor.

i used to have them everyday and did have for a long time. i cut out caffiene completely. its very common in young people. its usually just anxiety attacks. after cuttin out caffiene they stopped completely. but ive also noticed excess amounts of sugar can cause them. drinking water usually makes it go away.

I've had similar on a high caffeine load. I've made sure I moderate my intake cos it can't be good over a few month period.

definatley not, your body will get used to the intake especially if its regular. After a few months you will need more and more. Also traces of caffeine can build up in your system, which isnt good.
