    I'd ditto the fireworks. Very easy and I find it more practical to do useful stuff with text than photoshop. Personally I tend to combine Photoshop and Fireworks using the best of each. Photographic stuff in PS and then reopen the file in Fireworks to add text and 'graphic objects' (lines, logos) etc.
