Can I get the ultra sonic treatment at a GP or would I need to go to hospital for this?
There is no rule that I've come across
Keep it elevated as much as possible, it helps the swelling go down. As for exercise just try and roll the joint around a little, it'll hurt but you need to keep it moving.
Swimming was the best thing I did for mine I'm sure of it, you get to move it around without supporting any weight and the water is nice and cool on it to boot. I'd give it another week until you go though.
18 months was absolutely awful to be honest, but it was all down to my stupidity when I was about 19, I tried playing football 3 weeks after the initial injury and lasted about 6 minutes before knocking the ankle out again. The key thing is take your time, don't kick a ball for 4 weeks at least, ideally I'd say 6 and definitely look into some ultra sonic treatment, its free on the NHS![]()

Don't know to be honest, I had to go to the Hospital but they made the appointment when I had my ankle X-Ray'd. That said I live in Wales so you need to go the hosp for 99% of things![]()
