depends how busy it is on campus, can u go and see how busy it is first and then make a decision?
Right i've got a choice between the gyms when im off to uni. The campus gym looked pretty modern etc they had a decent set of olympic weights a power rack and bench and had one platform. But its shared between the 2000 people on that campus.
Or i can join the empire sports center gym in bristol which is about 20 minutes away and will be more expensive. its a recommended powerlifting gym on powerlifting watch so i imagine it will have some pretty decent facilitys, and a lot less crowded.
someone decide for me please.

Yeah, it's doubtful than anything more than a small minority of that 2000 are gonna be using the gym on a regular basis.
Where are you going to university. I had this problem when i first went. At certain ties uni gyms get mega busy but at other times it will be less crowded so it also depends on your timetable and prefernce of when to train ie morning afternoon and evening.
I personally had enough of the hassle of my uni gym and decided to join the local tennis club that has everything in the gym i need plus a swimming pool and reduced rates on tennis courts.
hmm i suppose i could do, but then again i'd probaly have to pay for the uni one first to see how busy it is inside.
going UWE in bristol the sports centre there is awesome but the weights section is very small compared to everything else.
what is the situation is it just membership or can you pay as you go for the first few sessions
just membership unfortuantly. I reacon i should go have a look at the empire gym see how good the facilitys are in comparison.
Yeah i would. At ours it was 100 for membership for the year in the uni and the tennis club is 30 a month. TBH its up to you if you think you can deal with the hassle of the uni gym, there might not yet be any, or would you rather just go straight into empire.
I studied at Bristol uni and the gym there was ALWAYS rammed. Great facilities though.
I'd honestly say just stick with the Uni gym though - trust me, you won't want to have a 20 minute journey to the gym whilst you're at Uni. Location, location, location!
Plus you'll probably need to save the pennies![]()
