  1. Default Any tips/advice on increasing grip strength?

    Just a quick question for the powerlifters/strongmen out there.When dead lifting my grip gives out way before my heavyiest lifts,so any advice on how to increase my grip strength? Oops just found some info on this question at bottom of page! Forget i asked!

    Try not to use straps anymore but when you can lift an additional 50-60kg with them its hard to resist!

    in competition you cannot use them

    i now can lift just as much but if you use chalk....it helps ALOT

    if you do higher rep work with a lower weight with no straps it will build your grip strength up

    Yep,your right. Just tempting thats all,only started to incorporate deads in febuary!Weight trained for 10 years and only just started deadlifting,shameful really.

    Use towels, when doing pull-ups/deadlift/shrugs just wrap them around the bar and hold on to them instead.
