Cool, I've been doing them recently, and just thought if GM's were better I'd swap to that, but I'll stick to straight legs.

They should hit the hams the same as long as you keep your back neutral with GMs, I get a good dose of DOMS in my hams from them I agree there is a risk with GMs, just make sure you know your limits & do them right. I find them really good for focusing on driving your hips through.

A version of GM's that crucify my hammies is the seated GM, as popularised by Charles Poliquin. Done correctly, this one is a class exercise.

Got rid of some exercises today and only did Deads for my back.

    Lifted in a pyramid style:

    70kg x 5
    75 x 4
    80 x 3
    85 x 2 x 2 x 2 (PB)

And then did a shoulder press / lat raise superset x 3 for my shoulders. This was wicked and got a massive pump on the last set.

Instead of feeling BATTERED I felt really good after this session
Use code MP22571 for 5% off your first order!
    Current goal: Strength
Supps: FOOD (and lots of it!), Whey, Maltodextrin, more food.
