I have dealifts (3x6) at the start of my routine - but they absolutly batter me!

    After deads I have:

    Lat Pulldown
    DB Row
    Shoulder Press
    Lat Raise
    Shrugs

By the shoulder press I want to go home, I feel really really knackered.

Is this a common thing with dealifts? Or am I just weak
Use code MP22571 for 5% off your first order!
    Current goal: Strength
Supps: FOOD (and lots of it!), Whey, Maltodextrin, more food.

Deadlifts do knacker you however strong/weak you are!
Maybe shift them to nearer the end? But would think Lat pulldowns and DB rows after the dead's. If I was doing that combination I'd probably go:

    Shoulder Press
    Lat Raise
    Deadlifts
    Lat Pulldown
    DB Row
    Shrugs

i do pretty much the same exersices in a different order

    wg pullups
    deads
    tbar rows/db rows
    shdr press
    lat raise
    db shrugs

i have done my deads at the end of my routing, as galt says, to allow me to give them everything i hae left. i dont think this allowed me to give them enough though!

i feel the above workout (which takes me 40 min on my own, 50 min with a partner) suits me best.

how many working sets of deads you doing?

i do them near the end.

    squats
    deads
    leg press

thats it, all i need for legs. finish off after leg press with plyometrics.

sometimes i put it first in the workout, when i feel i want to go really heavy when im fresh.

squats and deads in the same sesh ?
i would keep them to separate workouts tbh

i start with either squats or deads, one each per week.

deads on back days and squats on leg days

I do both squats and deads on the same day, but then again, due to it not being majorly heavy weights, I'm sure that makes a difference.

if I do heavy deads, it's the only exersize in my workout. After my final set I have to rest for 5 minutes before I can even unload the bar. I even struggle after that.

dont do deadlifts last, that would be silly...

Just man up, do deadlifts first then all the 'smaller' exercises after..

you don't have to train all those exersizes with your deadlifts. Why not split them?

Just train deadlifts, pull downs and rows. You can always change the exersizes each week. The deadlifts are going to form the backbone (no pun intended) to any workout you add them to.
