...if anyone knows any great gyms could they let me know. I'm trying to build up a world wide database of gyms...gymvisit.com ...it's not a commercial site so it's free to list any work out space, but they need to be strongly recommended with great weights.

Have just updated site and now have over 5,000 gyms in 100 countries. If I've not included your gym just add it to this thread and I will. J www.gymvisit.com

LionHair's EDIT 10/02/2010: To search by country use England, Northern Ireland, Scotland or Wales (as there isn't a "name" listed for Great Britain or United Kingdom) .

I noticed you have SohoGyms in London on there but not the Waterloo location which is the one I used to train at. Fantastic gym, interensting people there though I train at work now though with a lot less equipment but it's free and uber convenient so a more practical choice.

I have it listed under SE London - Gymvisit - Find a Gym

However do you think i should put it in another directory? If so let me know and I'll copy it over.

Many thanks for your help - very much appreciated, John

Prolab fitness in Bristol is a good one, loads of freeweight and decent changing rooms and showers.

Also JJB sports have a gym which I hear is well equipped.

There's this one to in hotwells the Fit Firm Home Page

I think SE1 is the right area, you have info for the Borough branch but there is also one just across the road from Waterloo station. There are a few other branches which you may have listed (not sure) I just noticed the Waterloo one was absent from the SE1 area.

As I said it's an amazing gym with great people working there.
