I've always struggled with squatting, at 6ft 6ins i always have problems to get depth. So I took the easy option and didn't do them After years I've had a re-think, I've started to squat light and try and get form right before progressing weight. i was really wanting some pointers, hints, comments etc on my form. At the min flexibility is a problem for me, something I'm working on.

    Thanks

    Try and get lower.
If you can sit crossed legged then you can get lower than that.
Try prison squats. Just your body weight with your hands on your head.

i'd say your feet are placed wide enough apart. You could go maybe slightly lower, maybe an inch but depth is ok at the moment imo. I think you are leaning too far forwards and bringing slightly too much back in to it. This can be resolved by looking 45 degrees upwards during the movement. If you look at the vid you're looking at the floor whilst squatting. Try too keep a good curvature of the spine, this can be done by sticking you bottom out and pulling your shoulders back at the same time. Do this whilst looking upwards and you'll be fine.

Just watched the video briefly and this is exactly what i thought - you need to look up throughout the squat and you won't be far off then.

    Depth wasnt too bad TBH

You need to concentrate on sitting down between your legs, rather than the "consertina" you currently do - as dave said third world squats and goblet squats will help with this. Lower back begins to round which would probably be solved by some flexibility work as well as keeping chest up and upper back tight as the others have said.

I believe he is referring to you bending your back over so your chest meets your thighs in a kind of consertina effect.
