    Hi,
Im currently on the Stronglifts 5x5 Beginner strength program.
Iv only done 3 workouts so far.

I have a lot of extra gym time after i finish and im confused on what to do.

There are some questions that mehdi has answered that i should add types of circuit training but my goal is to add size and mass and too much cardio work will make it harder?

are there any specific exercises i can do that will benefit Stronglifts 5x5 that will help me with increasing my muscle without doing too much cardio?
Should i move onto advanced 5x5? or should i stick with 5x5 beginner?

    Thanks in advance

have you just started 5x5? if so it's cos the weights are light, but when they get heavier you will not be asking what you are now lol
    you'd be nackered man!

when you get to 1xBW on most lifts, doing 5x5 will kill ya, and you'll be happy its finished, so stick to it, and enjoy it while it's light/get technique nailed, then enjoy when your deadlifting/squating multiples of your body weight bro!

When I started it I could do 1x25 rather than needing to do 5x5, now I am up to around BW its murder - I've still not failed a set but I can feel it coming - most likely this week!

It takes me longer and longer to complete each time too due to the rest required - and I've not sweated like it either.

i agree with everyone! i started out doing 1x25 insted of 5x5 but that soon stopped! soon i was hitting 20-30 mins on squats alone! not good when your trying to keep WO's to under 45 mins!

The other thing I have noticed - as the squats are getting harder, requiring much more abs effort to keep the form good, I am really struggling to do the 3x12 reverse crunches - when I started they were easy.

Oh and I have failed the OHP twice now, but nailed it today.
