So i have been looking at the strong lift work outs i think i might give it a go i was just wondering as there are 2 workouts A and B if it is enough just to do each of them once a week? would i benifit enough from this? i was thinking Monday and Friday which will give me a 3 day rest period after work out A between the second workout B and 2 days rest back to the first work out A again (if you get me ?)

I do MMA through-out the week and also do alot of cardio sessions at the gym.

Also i was wondering if i could change the first excercise on work out B squats to something different as i dont want massive legs they got really big last time i worked on them and i found it hard to fit into my cloths. Could anyone suggest a sub?

    Thanks everyone

how massive are we talking? I know dope is rolling on some canny pins and hes a fighter, likewise the bigger Powerlifter lads have canny sets on them and they seem to do fine (not me. mine are only 25")

I was going to ask about what should be max weight i havent training in 12 weeks so its going to take a few weeks for me to get some of my strenght back. I dont want to be massive as i want to keep my weight down another reason for doing this is to strip what fat i have left on me.

    Im 13 stone 5 ft 11

What? Lets ignore you said that.

In the stronglift FAQ it is generally said that if you want to chop and change things then don't do stronglifts as it is meant to be done as it is set out.

Stronglifts won't pack on size that fast, so I shouldn't worry about your leg problem.

Start from an empty bar no matter how easy you find it, then add 5kg onto deadlift and squat untill you find it difficult. With bench and press keep it to 2.5kg per workout, unless you have a strong bench you could use 5kg increases too.

Just think of the extra damage and explosiveness you'll do with biggwr and stronger legs. Bloody awesome for tkd kicks and jumps

Yeah, as the guys have said. I dont think you have anything to worry about. In fact, as dope pointed out, you might actually benefit from bigger legs.

I guess a lot of it comes back to your diet, unless you are eating a decent amount of extra calories, your legs arent going to explode in size. Its good that you have prioritised your mma training too. Usually guys are like, "I want to be huge and I want be be fast and I want to have time for mma!....". Good luck with your training.
