Yep you qualify at level 3 but not sure what you can do, if your course has a gym certificate incorperated in to it then you can work in a gym. You will still have to do a PT course as to be a PT you have to have so many units in different areas. Ring REPS up and ask.

I did a workshop with premier training, the difference between a workshop and a full cert is that you can display the cert as a qualification say on a business card etc. With a workshop you can say that you specialise in them and are qualified to deliver and teach and for insurance etc but you just don't have a specific qualification.
The only time it would work against me would be if I went for a job as say part of a team that does fitness training for an MMA club etc then if some one had RKC or an IKFF cert then it would be more in their favour possibly. You basically pay for the name and to be associated with the qualifcation. This is the workshop I did:Kettlebell Training Course - Premier Training

A PT I know did the same uni course and I believe he had to purchase a health and fitness course to get full REPS status at level 3. To be honest his knowledge is pretty poor and he doesnt have any experience within a gym environment. Not sure how in depth the uni course went into it as I believe the PT part of it was just an added thing. Could be wrong though. Maybe get in contact with REPS or governing bodies?
Well the course i am doing had a module that runs all year long throughout the first 2 years based on programme design and periodisation, then in the third year there is the option to specialise in strength and conditioning, which i what i am doing. So hopefully i will have a decent level of knowledge to become a PT and pick up extra qualifications as i go along.

Sports science at a uni is so broad and the sylabus changes depending on where you go, a few people I know did sports science and ended up paying and training another 4 years to be a physio or doing a PT course so that sucks a lot. You pay all that money and then you find your stuck, seems very unfair. The course should have more options to enable you to go straight into a specific role.
