I have lost count of how many competitions I have seen where competitors failed drug testing. It is (unfortunately) just part of the sport now. We know how hard weightlifters train (and how often) and many of them require assistance for this training protocol. I disagree with performance enhancing drugs; but they still work incredibly hard to get to that level and I respect that greatly.
It is refreshing to see someone (koklyaev) speak openly about steroid use. So many lifters deny furiously that they take them; to only be found out and look like a complete idiot haha.

Goals for 2011/2012:
ATG squat: 200kg 10+ reps Deadlift: 200kg 10+ reps Log press: 100kg 10+ reps -> Win Britains' strongest junior.
I feel that steroid use denotes a failure in my opinion. Someone that is on par with a natural lifter in the same competetion - is incredibly inferior, and there is no two ways about it. Using steroids in bodybuilding is like using a bazooka in a friendly paintball game.
i can't think of a competition for people who use performance enhancement, but i'd sure like to. they all state that they are drug free, but the levels of testing differ so much from one to the other. some say test only the winner, others all competitors, blood test? urine test? even polygraph (lie detectors) i think some shows/competitions should just state 'un tested'. i would love to see the best, with drugs, not denying what they do, and competing without the cloud of confusion over drug use. no-one in second place would be able to tarnish the winners performance if they are all allowed to use them.
besides, worlds strongest man is on tv each year, and i always make a prediction as to who won't be around to see the next years competition, kind of sick, but thats the game that people play when going to the extremes.
Personal bests first, best one so far this year last -benchpress 225/200kg,-squat 320/220-deadlift 320/290kg.)
But if you have a competition where drug use is allowed it forces a non drug user to use as without it they cannot compete. Drugs should be banned in all sports and if you are caught then you should be banned for LIFE not two years not 5 LIFE.
why can't someone who doesn't use drugs, as you say, enter the drug tested competition? rather than one which drugs are not tested for. no-one is forced into competing in any particular competition. it is all choice. Another tricky thing would be what is banned? if something is allowed now, it maybe banned at a later date, and you would be banned for using something that was illegal, but the politics has over taken the policy. for instance certain drugs have been used in medicine, then found their way into the locker room, if someone was treated for high cholesterol in the 80's, they may have been given anavar, but they would not be allowed to compete as this is now a banned substance. i reckon this would make an excellent thread all of it's own.

I'm pretty sure everyone has seen the other one but he just uploaded this.
