For me his 150kg muscle snatch is the most impressive.
I love how he has more core stability than anyone whos on a bosu ball doing DB squats for "core stability."
Truly a freak of nature this man. I would love this kind of strength. I see lots of strongmen rolling frying pans. Bet Koklyaev could rip it in two!
Also just noticed hes doing the "strongman snatch" Not as technical as the oly style. If he mastered the oly style he could go higher than the 190kg. Hes so strong he actually pulls the bar high enough to just dip under it with his arms already straight!

Use MP211330 for 5% off your first order! Goals for 2011/2012: ATG squat: 200kg 10+ reps Deadlift: 200kg 10+ reps Log press: 100kg 10+ reps -> Win Britains' strongest junior.

MJ you possibly don't know he used to be a 'proper' Oly lifter before he turned to strongman
Here's an old clip of him at 19 years old in a comp'...

Nice technique!
Mmm thats odd as the technique he uses wouldnt be taught by many oly coaches. I guess hes found the way that works for him!!

Ah but ... How many Russian (or whatever) coaches have you traind with !!!
The only odd thing imo is the way he starts, but I have seen it done by otehr Oly lifters - His pull is excellent, nit too fast off teh floor, nice position then great axxeleration at the top and a nice deep squat (at least deep for a big guy like him - smaller lifters often go lower, but then they ain't using such big weights) - Anyway that's my take on it.
Some contrast - here's a very young Dave Morgan, one of Britain's best ever lifters with a 170Kg snatch and 200Kg C&J to his name at under 85Kg - (I used to train with him when I were young lol:

As a much lighter guy he gets very deep
The main difference i see is the fact he keeps his arms straight throughout. Ive seen most coaches use the shrug -> arm bend and when you roll the bar in the air your arms lockout. Of course this means going into a deeper squat however it means the bar doesnt have to travel so high which means more weight can be used. Dave Morgan shows this superbly. Magnificent motion he has. Also what i love about that pull is that he didnt sit at the bottom of the motion with the bar over his head. At the Beijing olympics i noticed a few people doing this. Also people who didnt use the bar bounce in the jerk. They seemingly had it racked for 10 minutes lol.
