I did before but no, now I'm using a commercial gym in the city.

For years trained in the evenings as work from 8-5; but since August been training before work at 6am before work. Have to say seen some good gains and my fitness improved at the same time as I'm probably putting more into it

That said the 5.15am starts are doing me in and training fasted everyday is probably not the best thing to do long term

Always feels odd waking up when it's still dark, which I expect is the case at this time of the year! Yeah after a long day it's often hard to motivate yourself I think

    Im another early bird

In the gym for 7am roughly, leave about 8ish. I am training for a triathlon so do alot of cardio work so tend to do this in the evening with friends so cant gym them, plus the gym is always rammed in the evenings, normally with fools curling in the smith or SR!!!!!

I also follow the LG IF way of eating and find my lifts are okay and coming along little by little

Totally agree - those early starts are a killer, especially several days on the trot, however i prefer that to how rammed gyms usually are in the evenings and the extra motivation it takes to train then.
I get round the fasting problem by sometimes having a snack during the night (if i wake up) I also try and squeeze in plenty of food before I leave.
    Aims (Current): Squat 195kg (122.5kg x6), Deadlift 245Kg (200kg x4), Sub 6:30 2k - Indoor Row (not done)

5pm-ish most of the time during the week, and anytime at the weekend, at the moment.

My preferred training time is first thing in the morning after a huge carb fest and a good sleep the night before. No need for breakfast, just a black coffee and straight to the gym! I did this throughout summer over the holiday. Was at the gym for 8.30-9am most of the time.

Sounds like a productive holiday! I spent the best part of 3/4 months with a bad back, and working at a garden centre for half of it. Didn't help with the back haha.

What do you do that gives you the summer holidays by the way?

My only problem with training in the morning is that I start with squats each workout (3 a week) and I generally feel quite tight, when I need good flexibility. Last year kept getting little niggles in my hip flexor and groin, not sure if anyone else has experienced this in a similar way... Seem to have fixed the problem with later workouts (and a more set stretching routine probably helps).
