    Hi all.

I am considering a routine change and giving the stronglift 5x5 a whirl.

Problemo is I am carrying a shoulder injury which is aggravated by over head press (of any weight) and bench press (heavy weight)

These are 2 of the few compounds that 5x5 wants me to do, so if I don't do them properly or by swapping them... Is there any point in doing 5x5??

    Thanks

Maybe if you start light with the whole thing (ie the bar) as the program suggests it may provide a bit of rehab for the shoulders? It isn't going to get heavy until week 6ish anyway. Otherwise I'd wait till you get your shoulder fixed before starting anything new mate

Hi. True, I shall give it a go and hope light is the way forward. I did give it a complete break from all work but I have grown so frustrated at not gyming and watching all the hard work slip away that I just have to do something now.

Any suggestions if I do have to swap ohp for a completely different exercise?
