This week is my deload week, and today was the first time I could get to train.
I looked at what I should of lifted. After last weeks successful ME week the weights looked pathetic, and I was feeling quite fresh and enthusiastic about training today, as it was my last one before Xmas/work/family etc takes precedence for a bit.
So I thought, let's have a blast at week 1 of next months cycle.
That was a bad idea. Failed miserably, and now feel shot mentally and physically. Don't really know where I'm going with this, but I suppose it's just to say to anyone starting out on a programme that has a deload week, just man up, suck it in and do the deload, however puny it looks. Your mind and body will thank you for it.
