Hi to all out there,
I have been training now for over 20 years and have always trained cleanly. ie what i have is earned through hard graft and natural nutrition.
Having experienced that many years of training and been in many many gyms, used many types of equipment and tried many different supplements i now feel that i have the plan to see me through!
I will soon be 40 and has to be said that the training doesn't get any easier!
A few things that i have learnt...
1)go it alone and you will more likely suceeed in your goals. Cause if a partner can't be bothered to train then the likelihood is that you won't train either! Its easy enough to get a spotter to watch you through that 'big' set if you need it.
2) definately put the right things into your body. think of your body as a motor. Put in substandard fuel (ie food) and you won't get the correct performance. By this i mean clean meats such as tuna, turkey, chicken etc and rice, brown pasta etc see other forums for good/bad food choices. You don't see the formula 1 cars putting in the basic fuel do you!!
3) be honest with yourself when training, don't just pick the favourite bodyparts, give each one the respect it deserves for the all round finish.
4) I am now a big believer in this myprotein product and really helps me gets the quality calories that i need to maintain my training. I use Hurricane XS as it contains everything i need and is good for replacing what would have been another meal because it has it all. I really recommend this product and if you are like me go unflavoured as you can then add your own to keep the changing taste as it isn't the best for flavours but gives great results. Use my code for an extra 5% discount MP9745 , not too be sniffed at! I use honey, coffee even cordial to change the taste.
5) after so many years training i found out that although i had the motivation and knowledge of technique i was hard gaining and this purely boiled down to OVERTRAINING! think about your plan. are you trying to achieve too much from a session? if so go back to basics and reduce down for a couple of months and monitor the changes.
If you want any more advice then please get in touch. only too happy to help.
cheers matt![]()
