Fair play. I wouldn't say it's a hassle at all for me. I usually train at home so have places I put it each time. Takes a couple of seconds to set up and a minute or 2 to edit it, and then a couple of minutes to upload it. I just think if it's a PR thread that video evidence would be better. It's also a great way to keep track of your form, before I started doing videos I'd pick up bad habits and not know about it until they had already become a fixture. I get loads of good advice on the other forum I use too, and that's from them watching the videos, and that advice has helped me a lot.

Might aswell add this! This was day one of 5/3/1 and my last sets of deads at 145 for 5 reps+. I got 7 which is technically a rep PB

Form wasn't great but that's why I got the camera in the first place, to fix things.

I hit 190kgx1 on Friday and had a terrible weekend of drinking, burgers and other poor choices that left my lower back feeling not too great. Everything should be back to normal for my deadlift day next week though.

Did some deadlifts form boxes yesterday at the end of a session was aiming for 200kg x 4 (which is a new pb) which i got, then other people in the gym joined in and it got a bit more competative and I finished by pulling 220kg!! def a new pb, next step to get it off the floor! also last friday at the end of my session after my squat sets I felt strong and set a new Squat PR of 165kg think I would have made 170kg from fresh.

PAH!!! If only my grip was that good. I did a 120kg single handed using hook grip.

2 PR's from todays session. I'm not an olymic lifter so go easy with the critism of the split jerks. It was my first time doing them on an olympic bar, I've only done them on a log before today.

Nice lifts. With the split jerks; all I can say is be VERY careful!! Maxing out on an olympic style lift is one of the most dangerous lifts you can do in the gym without training. Guys at my gym will tell you the horror stories of peoples' knee caps blowing out, shoulder blades dislocating, tricep tears etc... of people who tried exercises similar to this (including someone who broke their back doing a behind the head split jerk!)

I am certainly no master of these lifts but heres a few things I noticed:

    - Too much knee bend.

    - Not throwing head forward.

As you are not an oly lifter it does not matter really; just make sure the bar path is straight because if that bar drifts behind the head; you will not recover easily as your back foot position can stop you from bailing out.
