    When quoting the weights that you are lifting do you include the weight of the bar etc or not?

    i think most ppl do, if not and they are unsure of the weight of the bar they usually state so.

    The clips mine weigh 1.25 kg so its a decent amount of weight

    I use a 20Kg olympic bar for deads, benching, squats etc.

    Combining bar plus the plate weights is the norm when quoting lifts i would have thought.

    If you don't include the weight of the bar you're cutting a substantial amount of weight off the total. It's the weight you lift, not the weight of the plates on each end.
