You guys are gonna love/hate me. I found a way to make protien/fat based bread like substance.

    1 teaspoon organic peanut butter
    1 teaspoon coconut oil
    1 egg white
1 and 1/2 scoop unflavoured whey powder

mush it together with your hands

ovenate it at 180 celsius for about 6-7 minutes. (this was a fan oven, maybe 190-200 for non fans).

Use as a burger bun or bread (works with peanut butter or cheese)

This is still a work in progress and using that recipe makes a dry, reasonably soft bread like substance, almost tastes like bread.

If you find a better way to make it please post :P

Did anyone else have a go at this? Absolutely genius idea.

I tried it using whole earth crunchy PNB and vanilla total milk & whey, so was expecting mine to turn out more like sweet scones or something...was very impressed that it formed a plausible dough, its just my first attempt came out very very dry so it was quite hard work to eat as it cooled. I think with smooth PNB and a bit more coconut oil things would be a lot more bread-like...especially with the suggested baking powder for some fluffiness. Definitely going to give it another go.

A little surprised nobody else has tried this - anyone else had a go because if it's good this could eliminate my most tempting bread intake opportunity?
