2012 is the year for homemade cheescake.

Ill be posting up photos/recipes on each cake and also how I'd change it next time to make it better.

Heres one to get started, a 1kg toffee/cinamon one I made last night!

    PHOTO

    BASE
    60g Oats
    60ml Olive Oil
    1/2 tsp Cinamon
    1/2 tsp Ginger
    1-2 Truvia/Stevia sachets

    - Heat oil in pan
    - Add and stir in oats
    - Press into 9" tin
    - Cook at 150 Fan for 15mins/golden brown

    FILLING
    3 Eggs separated
    2 sachets Truvia
    50ml Milk
    50ml Single Cream
    250g Quark
    250g 'Light' soft cheese
    150g Cottage cheese
    1 tsp Cinamon
    1 tsp Vanilla Extract
    10 Myprotein toffee drops

    - Whisk egg whites & sweetener into soft peaks
    - Mix all other ingredients in another bowl
    - Add in whites and fold into mixture
    - Cook at 130 Fan for 60mins
    - Turn oven off and cool
    - Cool overnight in fridge

    MACROS
    Whole Cake - 1600kcal
    Macros - Pro 89g / Cho 66g / Fat 110g
    -
    8 Slices
    Each slice - 200kcal / Pro 11g, Cho 8.25g, Fat 14g

    CHANGES
    - More oats in base and pre-cook for longer until harder
    - Peanut butter instead of oil in base to reduce fat content so I can add more soft cheese
    - Could use coconut oil and desiccated coconut for base
    - Swap quark for another pot of soft cheese
    - Swap cottage cheese for quark or greek yoghurt
    - Add peanut butter into filling

Sounds healthier than a shop bought one anyway!

    Taste pretty damn good.

Definitely needs more soft cheese instead of quark and cottage cheese to make it more dense. Nothing beats a really thick shop bought one so thats my next goal!

    will be watching this

heres one of mine from a few weeks ago....

    500g Cream cheese
    few tablespoons cocoa
    50g MP Chocolate whey
    some almond flour
    4 eggs
    splenda

cant remember the recipe i used but it was on a low carb site somewhere so excuse the lack of macros and measurements, pretty decent tasting all the same, but more of a tart than massive cheesecake lol

Awesome. It looks quite thick and dense, was it?

Macros look like they'd be super low carb and pretty high on protein, I think i'll use some whey in mine once im back to training.

yea, was just like a proper cheese cake texture, even the young lad liked it and he only eats crap! (hes 4!)

was geared for keto so the carbs were almost zero (minimal from the almond flour and cocoa and cream cheese)

That's what she said... about Elvis.

    BOOM!

    Back on topic,

Those look absolutely delicious(don't use that in a return comment, Elvis!). You have both gone up in my books(...or that!).

Is it as difficult to make, as I imagine?

Took roughly 25 mins to make it all and get it into the oven....simple as!

Also works out proper cheap - all the stuff i bought was sainsburys own brand so didnt cost much over £3.50 or something silly.
