Tried the MP MRP mix today guys after reading its profile, I thought it would be a fantastic pre-breakfast (on wakeup) shake.

Mixed it up, and geeze, it's incredibly sweet! Really tastes like there a lot of artificial sweetners or something plain bad. Anyone know what this might be? Put me off a little after drinking it all but will persevere

Other than that, it was a good tasting shake (Strawberry by the way). Looking forward to see how this affects my performance .

Interesting... I cant get down the morning oats shake, its just nasty towards the end, its just all oats. And thats even when i thought i was having the one scoop instead of 2, with whey and 300ml milk (and creatine on non workout days)

I use a hand mixer, thinking about a screw top mixer but cant see it making much difference...

I have been using these for about a week now; chocolate mint flavour, and i referred my cousin to them who has some strawberry flavour ones on the way so i will try those and see how it is and i'll post back as it will be the first time trying that flavour.

The chocolate mint is awesome. I have no problems at all using it for my 3rd meal mixed in 500ml of cold water. I use a shaker which does a fantastic job as it doesn't leave any oats until the end nor messes up the texture. Of course if you let it settle for long, the oats could end up at the bottom, but you can always give it a good shake before sipping it. There is a big difference between using a mixer/blender from my experience compared to a shaker. Nothing beats the shaker and i'm being honest. So, that is a factor to get out of the way as it could be the answer to alot of things.

The second factor to get out of the way is having it first thing in the morning; nothing ever tastes good first thing in the morning after your mouth is fresh, it tastes sickly, but the chocolate mint hasn't been that bad as i have tried it once in the morning. So try a different flavour first thing in the morning as this may just be an issue with the strawberry batch or wait a while before you drink it.

The primary reason i decided to use MP MAX MRP is that it contains neither Aspartame, nor Acesulfame K, i emailed them to double check......I really hope theres nothing fishy there. I have been searching all over for MRP'S without these dreadful chemicals in them so the price is not the only thing that has attracted me to these. Definately worth giving a go, i'd only get off these if it started upsetting me physically, or if the price went ridiculously high or if the ingredients/formula changed and went from good to bad.

Tried it again this morning and there is something a bit bitter in there, not sure what though, can taste it in the after taste for a while after too. It's fine really though, just a small moan. It's a great MRP and at only £1 per sachet, what a great way to start the day with such great nutrition!

Note: I do the trick of holding breathe through the nose so my taste buds don't kick in, and leave it that way for at least half a minute so I never ever gag up what I drink!

James Copping: It's good to be here mate, was meaning to post for a while but thought i'd do some reading first, nice place.

    Strawberry flavour MRP:

I am just reporting back as i recieved the MP MAX MRP strawberry flavour this morning, and i'm having my first serving as i speak. For strawberry it is excellent, better than i ever imagined! I have tried strawberry flavour protein in the past, which have tasted nothing like general strawberry shakes, deserts etc (They hardly ever do unless they're over done it with sugar etc)

The only way i can describe this is that it tastes like those ice cream mousse you get from tesco with a hint of raspberry sauce in it. If you let it melt and then mix it up into a runny liquid, it is EXACTLY like this. I don't understand how these taste so great. Fantastic. I'm having it with water, and using a shaker, as always. Definately a flavour i would like to keep. Will have to see what vanilla is like on my next order.

MeshMan: Have you tried it at a later time in the day? I feel bad that you are not enjoying it; if it was tuna blended with spinach, onions and gravy fair enough. But even that tastes nice these days. Don't miss out on the other flavours mate, it might be the best move to try them.

Oh don't get me wrong, I think it's an absoloute fantastic MRP, I'm cerrtainly sticking with this as my pre-breakfast wakeup shake as the nutritional serving is fantastic.

As for the taste, I don't recall I've ever said I like anything in a shaker on my first attempt, for example, I used to gag on Ultra Fine Oats but now I love them. This shake is indeed fantastic tasting with no artifical flavouring, well done MP!

When I get comfortable with a flavour (loving the strawberry now), I get scared of ordering a whole box of another in case I really don't like them. I think with a bit of confidence on my next box, I will cycle through all the flavours and see which turns out the best and post my reviews here.

No, I haven't tried them at a later time in the day as I usually have no problems getting to real prepared meals right up until I go to bed. So apart from morning wakeup, post workout, I hardly have shakes.

I must still say though, there is something mighty tangy in this mix. I can still feel it tangle my taste buds as soon as I start to drink it. It's a winner though, 10/10 from me, now my official wake up shake

So do you guys have this instead of an oats morning shake? I dont no what to do. Dont know whether its a flavouring i need.. I have a HUGE bag ultra fine oats i just cant really stomach.

Tried it with water the other day and honey. It was even worse. just tasted like honey and water, and then the powder started tasting through

I dont think a shaker bottle would be enough to mix oats up tbh. I use a hand mixer like i said, and then shake the **** out of it every minute or so
