  1. Default who uses impact whey isolate over impact whey protein?

    Could you please outline why you choose isolate over the whey protein mix? Is the price jump justifiable?

    Whey isolate is really only used if you are lactose intollerant. If you are not then there is no real justifiable reason for getting it. Generally most people just use the bulk impact Whey,

    isolate protein is also great for taking within 30 mins of training, gets to your muscles faster than impact protein which is slow releasing

    Wrong in almost every way. Impact Whey is fast digesting with a BV of 100, and by any measure of release/absorption is a fast acting protein. The difference in speed of release between isolate and concentrate is negligible. Neither are essential pre workout.

    I believe he meant within 30 minutes of finishing the workout.

    The isolate will be quicker absorbing, but not by a great amount. The lower fat and carb content some people prefer, aswell as the issue with lactose. I, myself, feel better on isolate. Each to their own.

    isolate and concentrate is the same thing, only difference is the way its produced.

    isolate and concentrate come from the same source, isolate jsut goes through more processes.

    Impact whey isnt slow releasing but Isolate has a m much faster absorption (bv 160)

    Personally I think isolate would be used by the more health concious. The oxidized cholesterol in concentrate protein worries me.

    I choose isolate over the whey protein mix because after some painful stomach cramps from taking a poor quality supplement from a lesser retailer, I realised that I’m lactose intolerant but with Whey Isolate I’ve seen some great gains without the pains!

    isnt that bv over 100 alot of balls?

    i thought 100 was maximum anything over was being confused with a chemical score

    In addition to what Con said, I have only seen isolate quoted as 120, which as previously mentioned the difference once you have a bv of 100 is negligible. Do you have any links about the oxidised cholesterol in Whey btw?
