I'll chip in with my own observations. I've been feeling pretty bleary in the mornings, but I've had some late nights lately which throws everything out, so I can't say that's down to the glutamine.

On the plus side I'm slowly gaining weight and strength *and* my trousers are getting looser. To be honest, until this thread popped up again, I'd forgotten all about it - I'd been taking the glutamine as a matter of routine but didn't think to relate that to the improvements. Clearly it's doing nothing for my mind then.

Have been taking the heaped teaspoon for 3 weeks now, and by week 2 roughly 30 minutes after ingestion I experience aching in the wrist joint?

Could this be due to increased hydration through elevated levels of hgh. I have read about carpel tunnel syndrome causing similar symptoms by actual hgh injection.

This is a very exciting prospect.

Well you should be asleep when you posted if you've gotta get up at 5.30!

I'm not sure it's a good idea leaving amino acid solutions standing around uncovered at room temperature, could that not encourage bacterial growth?
I usually just leave a pint glass with the l-glutamine in it by the bathroom sink, with my vit c tube next to it, 1st thing in the am (or in the latter part of the night if one of the kids wakes me up) I just dump in the vit c and fill with water, it seems to dissolve quicker that way than adding the l-glut to the water, it really doesn't take long (particularly if you break up the fizzy vit c tab).

LH the best way to do this I think would be to put your glutamine in a glass before you go to bed and then simply add water (sparkling or flat, according to taste) in the morning. Neck the lot and then go to work. Leave the glass to be washed up when you get back in (I promise not to mention the word "slut", ha ha ha).

Bodybuilder, I doubt very much whether its the GH causing your pain. The syndrome you refer to was the Rudman Study. This was the original, pilot protocol whereby geriatics were given Hgh injections and monitored for its effects.

One of the few side-effects noted was minor carpal tunnel problems in some of the participants. This was surmised to have been caused by fluid retention.

The good news is that the problem disappeared when the injections stopped! Moreover please understand that it was recognised fairly early on that the protocol was all wrong. It was massive injections, twice a week, with no other changes to diet exercise etc. On a later altered protocol that followed a more natural Hgh release curve very few problems were ever noted. If you go one step beyond that and follow a natural secretogue pattern (as here) then its hard to see how any problems could occur.

However, one very easy option is to extend the resting phase of the cycle pattern and see what happens. This is one reason incidentally why all supplements should be cycled. Apart from all the usual stuff about stopping the body getting habituated to the supplement it also allows you to monitor the effects from your standard base-line (ie without the supplement) and adjust accordingly.

Incidentally if it is CTS, and irregardless of its cause, there are some specific exercises and hand movements that resolve the problem fairly easily. Do a google and you'll see what I mean.
