*** Edit I am wrong see below >>> I noticed that the recommended dosage is 3 X 500mg capsules, which will give you 90mg of zinc. Other competitors recommend this and other competitors also recommend 1 capsule only ?

However both the FDA and British Government recommend that daily amount should not exceed 40mg as it will cause toxidity and a range of side effects.

Anybody have any idea as the true dosage and effects ? Is this dosage only for heavy bodybuiders ? Should you only have 3 capsules on a training day ?

    Thanks.

ahh i think you've got confused, its 30mg of elemental zinc per serving and not per capsule... one serving = 3 caps. But you are right, 90mg of zinc wouldn't be such a good idea long term, you'd eventually suffer from a copper or iron deficiency as a result. Luckily the majority of people are zinc deficient though so i'd imagine it would take quite a long time to become apparent.

Its confusing, but the bottle says 500mg X 90 capsules.

The bottle says each capsule contains 500mg of zma powder.

The bottle says take 3 capsules.

    The Myprotein page says :

    Nutritional Information

Amount Per Serving % Daily Value
    Vitamin B-6 (from Pyridoxine HCI) 15mg 750%
Magnesium (from Magnesium Aspartate) 450mg 110%
Zinc (from Zinc L-Methionine and Zinc Aspartate) 30 mg 200%
    * Percent Daily Values are based on 2,000 calorie diet.
    ? Daily Value not established.

So i'm confused, a serving is 3 capsules ? So if that adds up to 1500mg of material, is that 90 mg of zinc and 1350mg of Magnesium ?

Or does each capsule only add up to 10mg of zinc and 150mg of Magnesium, what is the other missing 300mg of material or so ? Is it Rice Powder, Gelatin, Magnesium Stearate as indicated on other sites ?

Yep, going to other sites it seems to indicate 3 capsules = 1 serving that lists the 30mg of zinc.

The other material is the l-methionine and aspartate, when it says 30mg of zinc it means elemental zinc and not 30mg of zinc l-methionine.
