L Glutamine is a good supplement for recovery. Pretty cheap as well.
Hi guys I use My Protein supplements exclusively and have viewed the forum for some time, but only just registered.
Im going to be 100% selfish here and start a thread for my own benefit, but maybe other people who play competitive sport may also get some tips
I am a semi pro rugby player, position is wing/fullback and I weigh currently 12st7lbs. Last two pre seasons I have hit 13st7lbs but due to getting married one season and then having a baby the next I didn't maintain my weight sessions and only could do the rugby training.
Looking for good supplements that will help me perform better in the gym (assuming a 2-3 week strength building stage and then moving onto more power based routines). Focusing on supplements that would help me recover and those which aid muscle building.
I previously have used ZMA, HMB and Creatine but looking for other things I can cycle during pre season and maybe something new to give the body a suprise!!! Regularly take my fish oils and decent multi vits and minerals so that's a given.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and will post my progress in the gym and within my team, as just got offered a new contract!!

If you need a quick buzz to get you going, focus and train harder i use Pulse from myprotein for an instant energy boost. Better than lucazade, much better.....

I have never gone for Lucozade or other such drinks. My knowledge is minimal compared to many posters but I have a healthy grasp of nutrition and supplements so luckily have not wasted my money on these drinks!!
My brother in law placed an order with MP and picked up lots of multi vits (so he told me) but just bagged them up and gave them to me. Haven't ever looked properly at the vits and minerals MP do, so as im near running out would appreciate some advice on those specifically.
Not taken EAAs before, would it be better to cycle these with HMB as with a 5 month old little girl to look after I am budgeting, or would they combine really well?
I doubt any of the above are going to make a real difference over food and a decent training plan. I'd stick to whey in and around workouts, Milk protein for a slow digesting source, and add creatine and beta alanine if you think you're working hard enough to justify them. EAA and BCAA only really come into their own whilst cutting imo - you should br getting enough of them from dietary protein being as bulking is your goal.

Huh? It says it on the product page though and I've seen it said on these forums countless times...
