    Hi,

I have never taken protein supplements before and have just started doing weights at least 3 times a week. I was wondering which of these products is best for a beginner?

Also, I am unsure about the calorie and protein content of both products. (Assuming there's less protein / more calories in flavoured varieties) but this is not made clear on either product information pages. Is there any data for this?

    Thanks for your help,

    Simon

most of us use plain unflavoured impact whey. tis cheap and does the job well.

the flavoured ones are if you want flavourings.

if you'ves just started training, sort the diet out then look to supplements. all the gains will be from real foods.

but if you had to get supplements, impact whey is the one i recommend.

Thanks, I eat a pretty good diet already which is why I thought protein supplements were the next step.

I'd prefer a flavoured variety, but if the unflavoured has a significantly higher protein % i will opt for that instead. I just can't find that data?
