    Hi everyone,hope u r all good.
For a year or so i have tried every protein powder under the sun.whey(various brands, various prices).whey isolate, pea protein, brown rice etc etc. They all seem to have the same effect, i break wind that is so bad i cannot sit in the staff-room on my lunch hour cause the smell makes people puke,i work with public so my facae is red with embarressment all day. I get the runs, always feel bloated and sick.have been using pea protein thinking that was answer.no such luck.
Got blood test and doctor says that something is affecting my liver(must be the protein.
All and all i feel so frustrated,no points in lifting weights if i can no longer take protein powder.feel so depressed, worked so hard over last three months to shed a load of fat and trim up,just as i am about to bulk up(fun part) i basically have to stop the protein powder fro my health and sanity. Im at a loss.
I was just curious if this has happened to anyone else or if there is any way around this.
I dont want to have to give up before i have even started.
Thank you very much for everyone has even read this.
    cheers
    Teddy

It wont really make any difference... protein powder is convenient and good for after workouts.... whey does taste quite nice as well and maybe has a slightly better BV than most other proteins..... other than that, it is no different or superior to eating food....
Theres absolutely no reason other than convenience and cost why it would really affect your muscle gains at all.... you just need to eat more real foods..... thats what I do as I cant tolerate whey protein either. Dont let it put you off!

Thanx very much guys for taking time out to help someone else, appreciate it. Now that u all mention it, it does make sense to get proteins from whole foods.maybe not as convenient but cant have everything i suppose.just really awkward cause i just turned veggie about a year ago.thats another story though.
Thanx again though and take care.
