basically ive been reading this thing i got through the post from an online supplement shop, its a guide about stuff

it says that you should replenish your glycogen stores straight after a workout, then 15 minutes later have your whey

it says that by doing this, an insulin surge happens which...."would pack the muscles full of much needed amino acids".......referring to taking the whey 15mins after 'replenishing glycogen stores'

basically without starting a big mass debate (lol masturbate) about insulin spikes etc.........what would be a good thing to take to 'replenish glycogen stores'

spoke to the mrs who is pretty clued up on science things, lol, and she suggested those lucozade tablets cos then no mixing etc is needed

Repenishing glycogen stores is a simple matter of taking in carbohydrates after exercise. In most of the research on the subject they just use glucose or a 'sports drink' like lucozade which is pretty easy to make yourself using the supplements from MP. I wouldnt bother waiting 15mins though just have em at the same time

Yes dextrose is effectively the same as glucose.

what about L-Glutamine ?........it says on the main site that it restores glycogen

ive used that before and it was tasteless so that would be easy to take...........finish training, go to changing rooms, have that in a drink......get a shower and changed etc, then have my whey
