    Hi,

I'm trying to bulk up and eat weight gain elite to supplement my food intake, however, Iíve had to stop because i cannot stop farting when taking this. This is becoming and joke now and really embarrassing.

I go to the toilet around 3 times a day and still continuously fart.

Is there anything i could use or make to substitute the weight gain elite?

    Thanks.

how long have you been taking the supp for?

for me, if i havnt taken a shake for about a month - then start up again, in the first 5-6 days i have the same problem - but after that it seams to settle down :P

I think it may be my body adapting to to the extra nutrients?

i'd say if you havnt taken it for long then give it two weeks.

Just querying because I know if I have too many grain based products in a day it upsets my stomach quite a bit I get gas and have to use the bathroom regularly....hence I avoid them most of the time.

Some people dont do too well with the milk suger present in the whey (hence the reason Isolate is available) this could also cause the stomach issues.

But like ABZ said it could be the body just getting used to a change in diet, lots of people get this with diet changes.

I'm the same as spiderdan, but wheat is the only real problem. I eat oats most mornings when I get to work and am fine unless I eat wheat. I am also fine with milk BUT hurricane XS gave me the same problems you describe while total protein xs is fine for me.

If you just want the extra calories why don't you try some calorie dense food, eg double cream, oil, nuts, cheese.

I've stopped having the weight gain eilite now and still fart quiet badly so it now must be my morning smoothie i make.

    2/3 Pint Skimmed Milk
    2 Raw Egg whites
    Frozen Berries
    1 Banana
    1 Tablespoon natural wheatgerm

I changed wheatgerm to ultrafine scotish oats and the farting still persists no matter how many times i visit the toilet.

I would like to eat calorie dense food but i'm also trying to eat low saturated fat foods to bring down my choloestrol otherwise the doctor will put me on medication. Can't seem to win.

Not sure what else to try.

cut out the raw eggs and see if you still fart...

I fart all the time, something meaningless farts, like just air, it's so strange... my bro said it's from all the bubbles in the shake, cos I shake it like mad for a couple of minutes straight... and I have 2 eggs each morning which contributes... someone told me maltodextrin contributes as well?
