Well if you want to know how much psyllium to take, it really is the only way.

Google "nutrition info broccoli", "nutrition info walnuts" etc. and get an idea of how much fibre you're getting from these foods on an average day. Then you'll know how much supplementary fibre you need. Simples.

People are being a bit silly with this, its 30g of fibre a day for NORMAL veg and stuff, but different for Psyllium husk, because it works differently.

Before you buy any Husk of any brand you should see how it mixes with water, some mix more than others and solidify more.

Take two teaspoons of the stuff and put it in very warm water (like your guts inside) and fill up a mug, leave it for a few hours and come back. Depending on the grade of husk,it should either be half full or the mug could be full of total slime ball, this gives an idea of strength.

If its strong stuff , you only need 2 teaspoons per serving but 2 mugs of water. make it with 1 mug and then wash it down again with another mug of water.

If its working and good stuff, your crap will be spongey and a bit elastic, and come out quickly in one small push. The best crap you had.
