    Hi guys / girls!

I've ordered some Whole Psyllium Husks to get things moving a bit but I'm a little confused.

I've been taking 1 level MP Small Scoop (2g I believe) with 500ml of water each morning and it's helped a little but from reading more I think I need to up the dose but to how much?!

Some people are more sensitive to these than others. Try doubling the dose but make sure you also take more water. You'll know if you get it wrong as you'll get stomach ache.

I take 2g in a morning drink with greens and sometimes again in the evening.

isn't 30g of total fibre a day the recommended amount? If it was me I'd only use it to top up what I wasn't getting from main food sources.

I presume you're on a low carb diet?

If you're not doing so already try and get some fibrous green veg into your diet to help out with this (broccoli, cauli, green beans etc.). Oats are also a very good source of dietary fibre (I'm presuming you're eating SOME carbs!). You could also add in some kidney beans, avocados, nuts. The possibilities are endless.

the psyllium husks should really be the top-up from say 25g from whole foods to the 30g target. Google high fibre foods to see what would work best for you.

I usually eat this kind of veg and I eat nuts daily. So I'm getting there!

So what would you say your daily fibre deficit is then?
