    Hello

First let me apologise as im sure this has been asked 1000 times but i cant find it in the forum.

I've set myself on having 2 protein shakes a day (no more), i wake at about 9am have breakfast (porridge) & go gym for about 11am. Im kinda sure i will be having a shake in the evening to sleep on but my question is should i have 1 b4 or after my session as i've been getting mixed answers from the people around me.

    Thank you

Nice 1 mate, i thought a shake after my workout made more sense. Would you say 1 to sleep on is a good idea?

yeah generally i would say its a good idea, if your using standard whey then its going to be quite fast absorbing, u need something slower like milk protien its slower absorbing, or you can add some flax seed oil to slow down absorbion ( fat slows it down), i usually eat a tub of cottage cheese before bed, not the best tasting thing but is very slow absorbtion and has arounf 15g protein per 100g tub. make sure when taking your post workout shake to add some carbs in as this will aid the absortion of the protein i personally use oats but you can also use dextrose or maltodextrin aswell which are good
